Welcome to Prairie Winds Farm! We are located in Lakeville, Indiana 7 miles south of South Bend. A working educational farm, we offer visitor experiences and farm products in a relaxed, family environment. 85 acres of restored wetland, prairie, and fenced pastures, combined with lots of farm animals, offer a chance for visitors to reconnect with nature and the sources of our food.
What's New at Prairie Winds Farm
January 2008
We're currently offering pasture raised lamb delivered to your freezer. Lamb can be purchased whole or 1/2, or by the cut. A 1/2 lamb, approx. 25 pounds of lamb cuts, will cost $4.50/lb plus $25 processing. I also have lamb summer sausage, fully cooked, sliced and ready for sandwiches, at $6/lb.
We still have Shetland/cross and Cotswold fleeces for sale at reasonable prices.
I'm currently scheduling school groups for spring 2008 and farm camp for summer. Let me know what days work for you. We always have a rain date set aside for your group!
